Misconceptions
As he huddled on the street curb,
the rugby killing the pain in his stomach,
he looked for the best looking car.
Maybe the red Corolla, or the blue Musso.
No. They only had drivers. Not good targets at ALL.
The Camry? There was an old couple inside, so maybe…
But then old people just give chips or sandwhiches.
He needed money.
For a place to live? Maybe. For food?
Nah, he’d gotten by on less.
For more things to sniff? Oh yes. You’d bet he’d need that.
There, that’s his target. The red Ferrari.
A rich target could give rich rewards.
The boy got up, and knocked on the fancy car’s window.
It was night, and the stoplight was red,
And the driver of the Ferrari ignored him.
He stepped back,
And promptly knifed the ferrari’s tires.
And as his elders started mugging the driver,
He smiled at the thought of the fun life he was leading.
